In 2025, we were able to offer $13,000 in total grants. These are awarded to non-returning athletes and graduating senior partners who participated in the Unified Sports program.
In 2025, we continue to host events like Bingo and Putt Putt. We look forward to adding additional events and programs later this year.
Meet Our Team
Our Board of Directors
Our board makes our mission possible. They have the passion to make our goals a reality and the history to know how to do it. Just like a good sports team, we can’t win without strong players. Meet our team below.

Matthew Leathers
President

10 years after my first experience with unified sports in high school, while attending a game seeing the kids on the court and the friends and family in the stands, I realized I’d like to help people with disabilities to feel this type of inclusion.
I started volunteering with Friends of Unified Sports in 2019, joined the board as a trustee in 2021, and accepted my current role as President in 2023.

Corrie is a founding member of Friends of Unified Sports. Her passion for this organization, its mission, and wanting to do more for individuals with disabilities is driven by the “void” of opportunities that she sees while raising a son on the Autism spectrum. She advocates for inclusion and acceptance while supporting and promoting the Unified Sports program in her home district of Newfane and throughout Section Six. After over 20 years in the healthcare industry, she has retired to focus on FOUS.
Corrie and her husband Mike live in Newfane and have three children, Matthew, Zachary, and Elisabeth.
